The Supercard team have today confirmed that the development of the successor to the Supercard DSONE is now officially under way.

Their newest cart, unsurprisingly named the Supercard DSTWO, will be a mash up between the original DSONE and the hardware that was found in the iPlayer multimedia player. It will of course be DSi compatible, but will most likely not have ‘i’ in the title, but that is subject to change. That means you’re going to have a cart on your hands that can play both Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance games without any additional hardware. There will also be a SNES emulator, but we have not yet had the chance to see this in action.

Alongside the built in emulators, the DSTWO will also boast a revamped real-time feature system, multi language options, slow motion and a file management system.

Here’s the official feature list for the Supercard DSTWO:

1. RealTime Functions: RealTime Save, RealTime Game Guide(txt,bmp,jpg) & RealTime Cheat. (More stable, more easy to use, cheat code compatible with R4 and TT now)
2. Multi Saves (Up to 4 slot), Easy to backup and restore saves.

Nintendo officially went on record today to announce their new DSi model to hit stores soon, the DSi LL. This new model is bigger in every way to it’s counterpart, the DSi. For starters, the screen is bigger and the device weights a whole 100 g more than it’s predecessor. Along with size, the DSi LL will also cost more than the other DS consoles. This one will release in Japan at 20,000 yen (or $220). While the name right now is DSi LL, I doubt it will remain that when it comes to the US. Basically, LL is what the Japanese call “XL.” So, an XL shirt in Japan would be LL while here it would be XL. Makes sense that when the DSi LL comes to American shores, it will be called the XL. Depends if the name sticks or not. Microsoft’s Project Natal wasn’t supposed to be the final name, but I bet they stick with it when it’s released due to the market saturation so far.

Nintendo of Europe confirmed that the larger DSi will arrive “in the first quarter of 2010″ with a new name: DSi XL. Like Japan, the update will also come with an unspecified price hike over the DSi.

Nintendo vient d’annoncer officiellement la sortie prochaine d’une nouvelle version de sa populaire console DS : la DSi XL. Cette nouvelle version sera très semblable à l’actuelle DSi, elle sera toutefois beaucoup plus volumineuse et sera doté d’un écran plus large (offrant la même résolution que l’écran actuel).

The eagerly anticipated DSTTi firmware update has been released, proving once and for all that the card is in fact update-able. This update fixes the compatibility of the card with DSi firmware 1.4.

The update can only be run on DS, DS Lite or DSi firmware 1.3 (or less). It is very important that you run this update before updating your DSi to firmware 1.4.

After the update, the DSTTi will have a new icon/text in the menu (see picture).

This update can be found on the official DSTT website, so it is an official update.

Nintendo has just released DSi firmware 1.4 which adds Facebook photo uploads, a faster camera and blocks all current flashcards. We’d suggest if you value using flashcards with your DSi you don’t update.

Most flashcards have updatable bootloader that potentially could save them from being blocked if the flashcard makers find a suitable workaround. For now at least, DSi enhanced games don’t require a certain firmware in order to be run, so you should not update for the moment.

The update is confirmed to be live in Europe, Japan and Australia so far and will be available in Americas soon (most likely monday).

Determine your DSi’s firmware version.

The update is prompt if you connect to the DSi-shop or if you look for updates in “system settings” menu.

Nintendo vient de publier la mise-à-jour 1.4 du firmware de la DSi. Celui-ci ajoute les fonctions suivantes: envoyer les photos directement sur Facebook, déclanchement plus rapide de la caméra et bloque toutes les cartes (flashcards) actuelles. Nous vous suggérons, si vous utilisez une flashcard de ne pas installer cette mise-à-jour pour l’instant..

La majorité des cartes peuvent être mises-à-jour. C’est maintenant le temps de voir comment les fabricants de cartes vont réagir, s’ils peuvent trouver une façon de faire fonctionner leurs cartes sur les DSi ayant cette mise-à-jour. Pour le moment, aucun jeux de nécessite cette mise-à-jour, alors vous ne devriez pas l’installer pour le moment.

Cette mise-à-jour a été confirmé active en Europe, au Japon, en Australie et le sera bientôt (probablement lundi) en Amérique.

Déterminez la version du firmware de votre DSi.

La mise-à-jour est proposée lorsque vous vous connecter à la boutique DSi (DSi shop) ou si vous forcez la recherche de mises-à-jour via le menu de paramètres.
