This update fix the compatibility issue with the new 3DS firmware 3.0 released by Nintendo on December 7th.

An update to AKAIO 1.8.9 has just been released.

Official change log :

• Internal name listing mode will show the filename if there’s a lack of info (e.g. – DS Program File)
• Arm7 fix for slow windows in 1.8.8
• Many, many, many game fixes
• New skin (EvoI)
• Optimizations in icon display
• Code cleanup to reduce memory usage

Nintendo has released a new firmware for the 3DS : 2.2.0-4

This update blocks ALL current flashcart, including (but not limited to) :

• Acekard 2i
• M3i Zero
• DSTwo
• R4i 3DS
• R4i Gold

Those of you who use a flashcart should wait until an update for it is published before updating your console.

Team Acekard released a video showing an Acekard 2i running on the 3DS

It use a new firmware update (not publicly released yet) and runs in “DS Mode” so it can only plays DS games and not 3DS games.

It’s a good news for everybody. We’ll release the patch after a full test.
